MHz (Megahertz)
Equivalent to one million Hz. One hertz (hz) is one cycle per second. The bandwidth of the video signal is usually expressed in megahertz. One million cycles of electromagnetic currency alternation per second, commonly used to measure the speed of a microprocessor. For example, a 600MHz microprocessor performs 600 million cycles per second. A microprocessor's MHz rating is a key factor in how powerful the processor is. This measurement is also used to denote the speed of high-speed data paths such as buses within the computer.
