Pixel

Abbreviated form (in English) of "element of the picture." The smallest bit of information in a video image. While smaller the size of the pixels in an image, the greater the resolution.

Short for Picture cell. Is the name under which it called a sample of image information. You can refer to an individual sample of RGB, luminance and chrominance, or sometimes to a collection of such samples if they are concurrent, resulting in an image.
