Poly-Si (silicon) LCD

A popular LCD technology for the top of the line of LCD projectors. Poly-Si LCD are usually placed in each of the three colored lights inside the projector, one for red, green and blue. Resulting in an increased color saturation, contrast with ranges of up to 2001:1. Poly-Si technology is also a bit faster than any TFT Active Matrix, for a smoother video or multimedia.

Poly-Si (silicon) LCD technology is faster than the Active Matrix TFT, with smooth video and multimedia. Monochrome Poly-Si LCD's give increased colour saturation and contrast ratios above 200:1, as they are typically placed in each of the three colour light paths inside a projector.
