Scaler (multiplier)
Circuit that converts a video signal to a resolution other than its original format by 2 in NTSC, PAL or SECAM. The Line Multiplier optimizes your image quality, brightness. It also eliminates black lines and decreases the flicker. Scaler convert all signals connected to the input to the same common High-Resolution Data Output The conversion involves multiplying upward or downward, and may also include a conversion between formats, progressive and interlaced scanning. A multiplier can be incorporated into a TV, HDTV tuner or DVD player, or it may be a separate component.
